Acceptance of Terms

By using ReceiptKit, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Service Use

You may use ReceiptKit only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. You are responsible for account security, API key handling, and activity under your account.

Billing and Plans

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing and usage terms shown in the dashboard or on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Customer Data

You retain ownership of your templates and receipt data. You grant ReceiptKit a limited license to host, process, and transmit this data solely to provide the service.

Our Software and Intellectual Property

ReceiptKit, including the dashboard, the template designer and its public playground, the Receipt Bridge apps for Windows, macOS and Raspberry Pi, the hosted rendering and browser-print scripts, our APIs and our documentation, is owned by ReceiptKit and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use them to design and print with a ReceiptKit account, in line with these Terms.

You may not, and may not help anyone else to:

  • copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of our software, except as these Terms or an applicable open-source license allow;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer our software, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent the law permits this despite this restriction;
  • use the rendering or browser-print scripts, the Receipt Bridge, our font files or our APIs other than with a ReceiptKit account, or build them into another product or service;
  • use ReceiptKit to build or improve a competing product or service;
  • scrape the website or the service, or access it by automated means other than our documented APIs;
  • remove or obscure any copyright or other proprietary notice.

Components we publish under an open-source license, such as the ReceiptKit for WooCommerce plugin (GPL) and the ReceiptKit JavaScript SDK (MIT), and third-party components such as fonts are governed by their own licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights those licenses give you.

Availability and Changes

We may update features and APIs over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReceiptKit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for security reasons.
