Star mPOP compatibility
The Star mPOP combines a 58 mm receipt printer and a cash drawer in one low unit, and is a favourite for tablet POS setups. It speaks StarPRNT like the mC-Print family.

Expected, not yet lab-tested
We have not had a Star mPOP in our lab. It uses the same StarPRNT command language we validated end-to-end on the Star mC-Print3, so we expect it to work. If you run one, tell us and we will move it to tested.
Cloud coordination, local printing
ReceiptKit sends a few hundred bytes of order data to a bridge on the printer's network. The bridge renders the receipt and writes StarPRNT data straight to the Star mPOP, so prints are sub-second even with logos and barcodes.
Do you need a driver for the Star mPOP?
No. The bridge writes to the printer directly over TCP or raw USB, without the operating system print spooler or a vendor driver, on every platform.

Connect the Star mPOP in three steps
1.Install the free bridge next to the printer
Download the ReceiptKit bridge for Windows or macOS, or flash the Raspberry Pi image. It runs on any machine on the printer's network, or the one it is plugged into. PC setup · Raspberry Pi setup
2.Or plug the Star mPOP in over USB
Connect the printer to the bridge machine with a USB cable. It appears in the bridge as soon as it is plugged in.
3.Claim it and print a test receipt
Claim the printer in the bridge so it appears in your ReceiptKit dashboard, then send a test print. The bridge selects the StarPRNT command language and paper width from the model name automatically.

Star mPOP quirks and notes

- •The mPOP connects over USB (and Bluetooth, which the bridge does not use). Plug it into the computer or Raspberry Pi running the bridge.

New orders and refunds then print automatically on the Star mPOP as receipts, kitchen tickets, or packing slips using templates you design visually. Orderable and other WooCommerce ordering plugins are supported too.
